Northern Nevada Tragedy
For the second time in 10 days Northern Nevada has been dealt a blow. Last Friday at the Reno Air Races there was a plane crash with numerous injured people and several deaths. My heart truly goes out to those and their family members who where affected. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. May God bless and comfort you, I pray. Sending our love.....

Thankfulness
As I reflected on the senseless lives lost last Tuesday in Carson City and on 9/11 it occurred to me just how thankful I am for....well...everything. I'm so grateful that I have a job I love; a home I feel so comfortable in and my little kitty companions love to chase around in; health (pretty much); family and friends; and above all a Savior who always, ALWAYS has His hands outstretched to me when I err, and gives me an opportunity to repent and know that HE has my back, literally. I pray for those who have no knowledge of a loving God and HIS SON, that peace will enter their lives; for those who suffer loss as those on 9-6-11 and 9-11-01; and everyday in the wars on the streets of our country and abroad. I'm so thankful that I get to go to my home tonight and my little companions and be greeted with love from their little selves!
I'm grateful for My brother, his wife, and children; who never gave up on me returning to the church I love and accepting the Savior's gift. I'm grateful that the Lord God cares so much for us, His family, that He gives us every chance to return to Him through the wonderful atonement of His Son, that He has given us a clear path to find our way to Him...WOW

Still Reeling
Our sweet little community is still reeling from the events of Tuesday. The only good news that has come is that 3 of the shooting victims have been released from the hospital and are home in the bosom of their families. Something for which to be grateful. My prayers abound for the survivors, the witnesses and for the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this senseless act. Also, for the family of the gunman...they have pain as well. May God bless them all.

Such Sadness
Yesterday a gunman walked into the IHOP in our small little town and open fire with an automatic weapon (I don't even know what that would be). I can't explain the profound sadness I feel at this senseless act. My heart goes out to those directly affected by this, physically and emotionally. 12 people shot, 4 (5 including the suicide of the shooter) lost their lives. I have so much empathy for the victims and for their families and friends. May God comfort them. I am just heartbroken that our little community has had this happen. We haven't even had a homicide in over 3 years and now this horrible, horrible act! It totally saddens my heart.
